About the role
Join us as the Senior Engineering Manager for London Global Tax and take the lead in shaping the future of a billion dollar vertical. This is an opportunity to bring your drive, initiative, and technical acumen to a high-growth role where you’ll have an immediate and direct impact on the business.
You'll have the exciting challenge of growing a critical domain that serves our highest revenue generating product, with the freedom and responsibility to build a world-class team. You’ll be hands-on in leading a platform crucial to Rippling’s international expansion, as we expand into countries across the globe. This is a high-ownership role that offers immense growth potential at a rapidly expanding company. You’ll have the space to use your blend of business and technical acumen to implement and deliver an industry-leading vision.
What you will do
- Build and drive day-to-day processes that lead to a highly efficient team of high performing engineers
- Set the direction of your team. Anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges and create an actionable plan to solve them.
- Collaborate with sales, product, support, and operations teams in shaping the product

What you will need
- 10+ years of experience in software development and delivery, with in-depth knowledge of software architectures
- 4+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager in leading small and mid-sized development teams
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or experience in a relevant field
- Solid programming skills, a track record, and passion for improving the code structure and architecture to enhance testability and maintainability
- Great project management skills to lead, care about product ownership, an outstanding customer-centric mindset, and solving problems for our customers.
- Hands-on development experience using Python, Django, MongoDB, React, AWS is a plus
