Description
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Field Applications Engineer (FAE), specializing in the European market. Your expertise in sensor architecture, image processing, and system-level applications will be essential in enhancing customer experience, image quality, and performance. With a strong background in CMOS technology, customer engagement, and image quality, you will provide critical support to customers, helping them solve complex system challenges.
This role requires a deep understanding of image sensors and image signal processing, ensuring tailored technical support for industry-specific needs. You will collaborate closely with internal teams across sales, application engineering, and product management, contributing to the success of innovative vision solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical support to customers throughout project development by troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving hardware, firmware, and IQ-related issues affecting image sensors, image signal processing, and overall system functionality, both remotely and on-site.
- Work closely with customers to understand their application requirements, helping them optimize image quality, sensor performance, and system integration.
- Collaborate with the sales team to assess customer needs and define solutions using OmniVision products, translating customer challenges into high-level product specifications.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including Applications, marketing, and product development, to address customer challenges, gather feedback, and contribute to continuous product improvements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master of Science/Engineering degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, Physics, or related areas.
- 5+ years of experience in field applications, applications engineering, or a related role within the semiconductor or imaging industry.
- Strong understanding of image sensors and image signal processing.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver technical presentations at all organizational levels.
- Great communication skills to effectively align customer needs with organizational priorities.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset, adept at working across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with imaging technology and systems.
- Knowledge of camera architecture and application in the field of machine vision & medical.
- Strong system-level understanding of vision-based applications.
