Role Overview

The Senior HR Associate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day Human Resources function for AstaGuru's UK operations, ensuring the effective delivery of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR operations, performance management, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives.

The role will partner closely with business leaders to support workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee development, and organizational effectiveness while ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and alignment with AstaGuru's global HR policies. The Senior HR Associate will play a key role in fostering a high-performance culture and delivering an exceptional employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Headquarters Liaison & HR Alignment

  • Serve as the primary HR coordination point between the Head Office and business teams, ensuring consistent implementation of HR policies, processes, people initiatives, and organizational communications.
  • Coordinate with the Head Office to align HR programs, employee engagement initiatives, talent processes, and key people priorities, ensuring seamless execution across functions and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Facilitate timely communication and follow-through on HR directives, ensuring alignment between business needs and corporate HR objectives while fostering effective cross-functional collaboration.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment across business functions, including Business Development, Specialists, Client Relations, Marketing, Operations, and Corporate Services.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and develop effective hiring strategies.
  • Source, assess, and coordinate interviews for high-quality candidates through various recruitment channels.
  • Manage relationships with recruitment agencies, executive search firms, and external talent partners.
  • Build talent pipelines for future hiring requirements and succession planning.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics including time-to-hire, quality-of-hire, and recruitment effectiveness.

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Manage the complete employee lifecycle including onboarding, probation, confirmations, promotions, transfers, and exits.
  • Coordinate employment documentation including contracts, offer letters, policy acknowledgements, and employee records.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding experiences for new employees.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to improve employee retention.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and employee documentation.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure HR operations comply with UK employment legislation and internal company policies.
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and documentation.
  • Support payroll by coordinating employee information, attendance, leave, and benefits administration.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, right-to-work regulations, employment law, and statutory HR requirements.
  • Maintain HR systems and employee databases ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

Performance Management & Talent Development

  • Coordinate the annual performance management cycle including goal setting, reviews, and development planning.
  • Support managers in performance improvement discussions and employee development initiatives.
  • Track performance review completion and maintain performance records.
  • Coordinate learning and development initiatives to enhance employee capability.
  • Support succession planning and internal talent development programs.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Build positive relationships with employees across all functions.
  • Provide first-line guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, recognition activities, and cultural events.
  • Assist in resolving employee concerns while ensuring fairness and confidentiality.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.

HR Projects & Process Improvement

  • Support the implementation of HR initiatives aligned with organizational growth.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, automation, and employee experience.
  • Participate in HR transformation projects and policy enhancements.
  • Prepare HR reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
  • Support organizational restructuring and change management initiatives where required.

Compensation & Benefits Administration

  • Coordinate annual compensation review processes.
  • Support salary benchmarking and market analysis activities.
  • Administer employee benefits and leave programs.
  • Coordinate with payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Respond to employee queries relating to compensation and benefits.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Legal, and departmental leaders on HR initiatives.
  • Support international hiring and employee mobility where applicable.
  • Assist leadership with organizational planning and workforce analytics.

  • Accurate maintenance of HR records and documentation.

  • Support delivered to business leaders.
  • Contribution to workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent HR certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Experience managing recruitment, HR operations, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, international, or luxury business environment is preferred.
