eBay UK Seller Engagement Leader

At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader — we’re changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We’re committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.

Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work — every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet.

Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

We are looking for a strategic, commercially minded leader to lead our UK Seller Engagement function, shaping how eBay builds meaningful relationships with our community of hundreds of thousands of business sellers, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized businesses.

This role is responsible for defining how we engage our seller community at scale, using events as a key channel to strengthen relationships, deepen engagement and connect sellers with eBay's broader marketplace priorities. You will use seller insights, data and commercial priorities to understand where engagement can have the greatest impact and translate this into a clear strategy and programme of activity.

Events will be an important part of your remit, but success in this role goes beyond delivering great events. You will think strategically about the role engagement plays across the seller journey, how we build community and trust, and how our programmes can influence seller behaviour, drive adoption and create stronger connections between eBay and our sellers.

You will lead a team with strong events expertise, alongside seasonal staff and agency partners, setting the strategic direction and empowering the team to translate that strategy into high-quality experiences for our seller community.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Define and lead the UK seller engagement strategy, identifying how eBay can build meaningful relationships with its community of business sellers at scale.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our seller community, particularly small and medium-sized businesses, using data, insights and direct seller feedback to identify their needs and opportunities for deeper engagement.
  • Shape a programme of seller engagement activity, using events as a key channel to strengthen relationships, build community, influence seller behaviour and support adoption of eBay initiatives.
  • Develop commercially sustainable models for seller engagement and events, finding opportunities across sponsorship, partnerships and other funding models to increase impact while reducing reliance on eBay-funded investment.
  • Use data and commercial insight to segment seller audiences, prioritise opportunities and determine where engagement activity can have the greatest impact.
  • Establish clear measures of success across the seller engagement programme, evaluating impact and using insights to continually evolve the strategy.
  • Translate marketplace priorities into compelling seller experiences and engagement initiatives that are relevant and valuable to our seller community.
  • Build strong narratives and recommendations for senior partners, communicating seller insights, opportunities and programme impact clearly.
  • Lead and develop a team with strong events expertise, setting strategic direction while empowering them to deliver high-quality execution.
  • Partner across Commercial, Marketing, Strategy, Product and Operations to ensure seller engagement supports wider UK marketplace priorities.
  • Challenge existing approaches and develop new ways of engaging sellers, testing and scaling formats based on seller needs and measurable impact.
  • Oversee agency and external partner relationships, ensuring strong delivery, commercial value and effective use of resources.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
