Senior Material Handler Warrington

37.5hrs working week

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for the successful completion of all aspects of Material Handling work tasks.
  • Ensure site schedule adherence for all internal customers is achieved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Be supportive of Lead material handler in the day to day running of the team.
  • Understand and implement all process improvements including PR administration, Change control (ECO’s) utilizing the PPI methodology.
  • A customer focused attitude and approach to all daily tasks, ensuring customer needs are met.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy targets are met across all materials.
  • Support the team in achieving their goals.

Education & Experience:

  • Experience of working within a regulated life science, pharmaceutical or medical device business is preferable.
  • Proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures; written and verbal instruction, and to meet schedules required.
  • Working knowledge of SAP/ERP and business computer software with logistics related databases booking system is preferable.
  • Proven continuous improvement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills at various levels.
  • Self-motivated, tenacious and pays meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take an active role in process improvements to increase efficiency or productivity, utilizing the PPI business system to constantly raise the bar in the material handling team.
  • Perform material handling duties in line with current SOP’s and in compliance with current ISO standards.
  • Ensure work orders are picked correctly with special attention to detail when carrying out this process.
  • Assist customers in ensuring all targets are reached on time every time.
  • Support the Team Leader to achieve inventory accuracy across all areas meets a minimum of 97.5%.
  • Ensure delivery of materials with a Right First Time and On Time Delivery of 99%.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment for everyone who enters the material handling areas.
  • Help the team in PPI activity such as Gemba, RCCM and JDI completion.
  • Train other operators as required if SME.
  • Raise and complete the full administration of PR’s to document non conformances in a timely manner.
  • Administration of the change control system (ECO’s) to make improvements to processes.
  • Represent the material handling team meetings and audits in a professional manner.
