Sr. Oracle Developer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Oracle Developer based in United Kingdom.
This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development, customization, and optimization of enterprise applications built on Oracle E-Business Suite.
You will work across Oracle EBS modules, translating business needs into reliable and scalable technical solutions.
The position combines hands-on development with integrations, data management, performance tuning, and application support.
You will collaborate with functional teams and stakeholders while helping maintain high-quality technical standards.
The role also provides opportunities to guide junior developers and share best practices across Oracle development technologies.
With a strong focus on problem-solving and sustainable solutions, you will play an important role in supporting critical business processes.
The position is remote and begins as a contract engagement, with potential for a longer-term employment opportunity.
Accountabilities
- Develop and customize Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 modules using OAF, PL/SQL, APEX, Oracle Forms, Reports, and XML Publisher.
- Build custom workflows and approval processes using Oracle Workflow Builder and apply appropriate development methodologies.
- Design and implement integrations with third-party applications through APIs, FTP, and web services.
- Develop custom Web ADI solutions to retrieve and load data using Excel-based processes.
- Support data migration and conversion initiatives, including data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data querying, manipulation, and application performance.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing Oracle EBS applications, resolving technical issues efficiently.
- Conduct system testing and validation for new functionality, enhancements, and integrations.
- Diagnose performance issues and optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code to improve application efficiency.
- Create technical documentation and provide training or knowledge-transfer sessions for users and development teams.
- Work with Oracle EBS modules including Enterprise Asset Management, Order Management, Purchasing, Install Base, and Inventory.
- Collaborate with functional teams and stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate technical concepts, and deliver effective solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to junior developers and promote development best practices.

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Oracle development, preferably within consulting or enterprise environments.
- Deep knowledge of Oracle Application Framework (OAF), including View Objects, Application Modules, Entity Objects, and Controller updates.
- Strong proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, Java, Oracle Forms, Reports, Workflow Builder, and JDeveloper.
- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 and later versions, including familiarity with relevant enterprise modules and capabilities.
- Practical knowledge of Java, XML, and JavaScript as they relate to OAF development.
- Experience working with Oracle Database and associated tools for troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with AIM methodology and enterprise Oracle development practices.
- Experience developing integrations using APIs, FTP, web services, and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of data migration, conversion, extraction, and transformation processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to diagnose complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to junior developers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with a collaborative and proactive approach.
