Overview

This hybrid product management and marketing position within the MS Imaging and Characterisation Program supports the development, commercialization, and market success of key products by combining Product Management and Product Marketing expertise.

This role helps connect customer insights, product strategy, and go-to-market activities to drive product adoption, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth. Working collaboratively across functions, the Senior Product Manager translates customer and market needs into product plans and commercialization initiatives that deliver value to customers and the business.

Responsibilities

Role Specific

  • Contribute to product strategy and support the development of the product roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept and development through launch, continuous improvement, and end-of-life planning.
  • Prioritize product enhancements and initiatives based on customer needs, business priorities, and available resources, translating requirements into actionable plans.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Gather customer feedback through Voice of Customer (VOC) activities, customer interactions, and market research.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and opinion leaders to inform product improvements and commercialization activities.
  • Monitor product performance, market trends, and competitive activity, recommending adjustments to product plans and marketing activities as needed.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of customer requirements, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities.

Product Marketing & Commercialization

  • Support the development of value propositions, positioning, messaging, and product content.
  • Contribute to commercialization strategies, including pricing, promotion, and channel recommendations.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to support go-to-market planning and product launches.
  • Develop sales enablement tools, training materials, and customer-facing content to support commercial success.

Growth, Adoption & Revenue Enablement

  • Support product adoption and revenue growth through targeted customer engagement, training, and communication activities.
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing and strategic marketing teams on demand generation, lead development, and awareness campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer onboarding, engagement, and retention.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with R&D, Engineering, Marketing Services, Sales, Technical Support, Field Service, and Operations to deliver products and enhancements on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate alignment across teams, helping to resolve issues and communicate priorities effectively.
  • Share knowledge and support the development of less experienced colleagues where appropriate.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and market feedback to support product and commercialization decisions.
  • Recommend and implement product improvements based on customer insights, market trends, and business performance.

Governance & Compliance

  • Adhere to all Quality, Regulatory, and HSE requirements and maintain accurate product documentation.
  • Develop and maintain market and user requirements documentation and support required quality and product development processes.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Degree in scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience across product management and product marketing with a strong commercialization track record.

Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to support and coordinate global product launches and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong domain expertise with experience collaborating effectively across R&D, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Customer Support functions.
  • Proven experience developing and executing marketing and commercialization activities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build relationships, manage stakeholders, and influence outcomes across cross-functional teams.
