Position Summary:
Comparator Services is a strategic capability within the Clinical Supply Chain division, delivering innovative comparator sourcing solutions to global Biopharma customers.
The Program Manager, Comparator Strategy & Innovation is accountable for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives that strengthen Thermo Fisher Scientific's competitive differentiation, accelerate business growth and enhance customer value. The role leads cross-functional initiatives across Commercial, Global Comparator Sourcing, Product Management, Digital, Procurement and Supply Chain to design innovative sourcing capabilities and influence the long-term strategy of Comparator Services.
In addition to leading strategic customer programs, the incumbent serves as the Product Champion for Comparator Services by identifying complementary sourcing solutions, leveraging AI and advanced analytics to optimize sourcing strategies, and driving commercialization of innovative service offerings. The role also acts as a strategic advisor to key Biopharma customers by facilitating innovation workshops and promoting emerging sourcing models, including reverse distribution, local sourcing and other future supply chain innovations.
Key Accountabilities:
Strategic Business Leadership
- Lead the strategic management of high-value Biopharma customer portfolios while supporting sustainable business growth.
- Develop long-term comparator sourcing strategies aligned with customer objectives and business priorities.
- Identify market opportunities, sourcing trends and competitive differentiators.
- Represent Comparator Services in Executive Business Reviews and strategic customer engagements.

Innovation & Product Strategy
- Drive the Comparator Services innovation roadmap.
- Serve as Product Champion by identifying complementary sourcing solutions and supporting commercialization.
- Develop business cases for new sourcing capabilities, strategic supplier partnerships and digital solutions.
- Lead pilot programs and coordinate deployment of innovative sourcing models.
AI & Digital Transformation
- Develop AI-enabled sourcing strategies using internal data, predictive analytics and market intelligence.
- Partner with Digital and Analytics teams to implement AI use cases and automation opportunities.
- Define and monitor KPIs measuring sourcing performance, innovation adoption and business impact.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead enterprise-wide initiatives across Commercial, Comparator Sourcing, Product Management, Procurement, Digital and Supply Chain.
- Influence strategic decisions through collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.

Customer Innovation Leadership
- Lead innovation workshops with Biopharma customers.
- Promote reverse distribution, local sourcing and sustainable sourcing models.
- Act as a trusted advisor on sourcing strategy and supply chain resilience.
Market & Thought Leadership
- Monitor industry trends and competitive intelligence.
- Represent Thermo Fisher at conferences and customer forums.
- Partner with Commercial leadership to position Comparator Services as an innovation leader.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Supply Chain, Business or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical or clinical supply chain industry.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of comparator sourcing and clinical supply chains.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading digital transformation or AI-enabled initiatives.
- Product/Program Management or Product Champion experience.
- Experience developing business cases and commercializing new service offerings.
- Executive customer relationship management experience.
