This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Project Manager based in the United Kingdom.
This is an opportunity to lead complex, high-visibility projects from initial planning through successful delivery and handover. You will work across multiple workstreams, balancing strategic priorities with budgets, resources, timelines, and operational requirements. The role requires strong executive presence and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and C-level leaders. You will apply both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to adapt delivery approaches to each project’s needs. Success will depend on your ability to anticipate risks, communicate clearly, and drive accountability across teams and partners. This is a fully remote environment suited to an experienced project leader who thrives on ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Accountabilities
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, and success criteria in partnership with executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, charters, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Lead projects throughout the full lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, closure, and operational handover.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, financial performance, resource utilization, and variance analysis while identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
- Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain alignment and deliver project objectives.
- Build strong relationships with senior leadership and C-level executives, providing clear updates, recommendations, and escalation management.
- Apply Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies according to project requirements, facilitating ceremonies and stage-gate processes as appropriate.
- Track project KPIs, milestones, schedule variance, budget health, resource utilization, risks, and overall delivery performance.
- Identify potential risks, dependencies, conflicts, and delivery issues, developing mitigation strategies and driving timely resolution.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, reports, and project documentation covering progress, risks, decisions, and key performance indicators.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, capture lessons learned, and establish best practices to improve future project delivery.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and coordinate formal handover, documentation, archiving, and closure of outstanding contractual or financial activities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
