Job Profile

The Sr. Sales Manager – Maritime & Enterprise is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding Sama X’s presence and market share within the maritime sector, including shipping companies, offshore operations, yachts, industrial shipping, unmanned vessels, and vessel operators.

The Sr. Sales Manager will also drive business from Enterprise customers for fixed satellite services across Europe, and globally for Europe-based accounts. The role focuses on selling connectivity, satellite communications, Starlink maritime solutions, managed services and tailored ICT solutions.

The Sr. Sales Manager will be responsible for business development, account management, pipeline growth, strategic partnerships, customer retention, and achieving sales and profitability targets within the maritime and enterprise verticals.

The role is flexible in terms of location and may be based in other European countries, depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the maritime sales strategy aligned with Sama X commercial objectives.
  • Identify and acquire new maritime customers across in the region and globally.
  • Develop the partnership ecosystem and commercials to provide end-to-end solutions and services.
  • Drive sales of Starlink Maritime and Enterprise managed connectivity and ICT solutions.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Lead customer presentations, proposals, negotiations, and contract closures.
  • Manage relationships with key maritime customers and stakeholders.
  • Monitor maritime industry trends, competition, and emerging technologies.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and CRM data and forecast reporting.
  • Coordinate with technical, operations, finance and project teams to ensure successful service delivery and profitability.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Telecommunications, Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience.
  • Solid experience and a proven track record in selling connectivity and ICT solutions to the maritime industry e.g. shipping companies, offshore operators, ports, logistics companies is a must.
  • Strong understanding of maritime connectivity and communications solutions.
  • Strong network of maritime customers, industry partners and service providers across Europe and international maritime markets.
