AWS Industries Healthcare and Life Sciences

AWS Industries Healthcare and Life Sciences (AWSI HCLS) is responsible for driving cloud and AI adoption across the world's leading healthcare providers, life sciences companies, and health technology organizations. The AWSI HCLS team partners with pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, and health system customers to design and implement cloud architectures that address industry-specific challenges — from clinical trial modernization and regulatory compliance to generative AI and data-driven patient outcomes.

About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills to join our Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) organization within AWS Industries. You will partner with some of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies, biotech organizations, and health technology ISVs to design cloud architectures that address industry-specific business challenges and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. In collaboration with account managers, you will assist in driving growth across a defined set of HCLS customers. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions — including clinical AI, data interoperability, regulatory compliance, and generative AI — and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mind-share and broad use of AWS within enterprise life sciences customers. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value across the LifeSciences value chain is critical to this role. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges in regulated industries.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform
  • In partnership with the account management team, formulate and execute a strategy
  • Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
  • Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community
  • Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers
  • Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
