The Amazon Web Services (AWS) sales organization is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect Leader to grow and lead a team of Solutions Architects who support Global Banks headquartered in the UK. In this role you and your team will partner with sellers as part of an account team, to drive business outcomes for your customers. You will lead, motivate, and coach your team in developing relationships with technical executives, guide customers in using architecture best practices, partner with product teams to invent new solutions on behalf of your customers, develop internal processes. You will also coach your team in scaling their learnings through internal and external publications and speaking engagements.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects
- Coach Solutions Architects in the skills needed to work with FS customers
- As a key member of the Solutions Architecture Leadership team, ensure success in building, migrating and modernizing applications, software and services on AWS
- Educate customers at Executive level on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud and to maximize value from AI.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community and customer teams serving FS customers
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, Service Teams and Support

A Day in the Life
- Ensure you and your team deliver cloud and AI solutions on AWS that lead to business outcomes for our customers
- Partner and coach your team to partner with supporting specialist and service teams in developing solutions.
- Be a trusted advisor to senior technical executives in the companies the role is responsible for
- Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects including Principal Solutions Architects and lead by example as the SA roles adopt AI
- Develop relationships with your customers’ key technical executives and decision makers.
- Contribute to ideation discussions with your customers, making them aware of the AWS service capabilities.
- Coach your team to share their learning internally and externally both written and through speaking engagements.
- Leverage your strong writing skills to produce high quality documents that propose new processes or inventions.
- Become an expert in AWS leadership principles and coach your team to become role models.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
- Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
