Norstella supports pharmaceutical and biotech companies across the full drug development lifecycle — from pipeline to patient. Our mission is simple: to help our clients bring therapies to market faster and more efficiently, ultimately impacting patient lives.

Norstella unites market-leading brands - Citeline, Evaluate, MMIT, Panalgo, Skipta and The Dedham Group and delivers must-have answers and insights, leveraging AI, for critical strategic, clinical, and commercial decision-making. We help our clients:

  • Accelerate the drug development cycle
  • Assess competition and bring the right drugs to market
  • Make data driven commercial and financial decisions
  • Match and recruit patients for clinical trials
  • Identify and address barriers to therapies

Norstella serves most pharmaceutical and biotech companies around the world, along with regulators like the FDA, and payers. By providing critical proprietary data supporting AI-driven workflows, Norstella helps clients make decisions faster and with greater confidence. Norstella’s investments in AI are transforming how data is consumed and decisions are made, disrupting inefficient legacy workflows and helping the industry become more efficient, innovative, and responsive to patient needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a Solutions Lead who will support Norstella’s approach to AI solution development and evaluation, building the frameworks, methodologies, and scoring standards that determine whether our AI solutions are accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose in the hands of life sciences clients.

Working cross-functionally across content authoring, product, commercial, data science, data engineering, and services, you will serve as the authoritative voice on what good looks like, and ensure that every evaluation Norstella publishes, internally or externally is defensible, reproducible, and credible.

This role sits within Content Operations and is the connective tissue between what our models and products can do and what the market will trust, with a growing client-facing presence over time. We welcome candidates who bring strong domain and methodological depth, as well as those who combine that expertise with hands-on technical skills in evaluation automation and backend development.

Responsibilities

  • Work with teams to define operational readiness and quality criteria for new and evolving data products, validating that outputs meet the standard regulated life sciences clients expect at each stage of the data product lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain deep, working knowledge of Norstella’s underlying data assets, pipelines, and product architecture the backend fluency required to evaluate outputs with credibility.
  • Support the design of technically complex solutions spanning data integration, analytics workflows, and AI-powered capabilities, working alongside data science and engineering teams to validate solution architecture and ensure delivery feasibility before client commitments are made.
  • Support Norstella’s evaluation methodology end-to-end, designing and running assessments that demonstrate model accuracy, reliability, and fitness-for-purpose across data products and AI-powered solutions.
  • Collaborate with product and commercial teams to support the GTM process for new solutions, translating eval outcomes into proof points, reference materials, and use-case documentation that reflect genuine domain depth.
  • Assess complex client opportunities end-to-end: qualifying fit, framing solutions, and articulating a clear value proposition to both technical and commercial audiences.
  • Develop repeatable playbooks and solution templates that allow the team to scale its impact and maintain consistency as the product portfolio grows.
  • Act as a point of accountability for quality through to delivery, staying engaged to ensure solutions land as evaluated and committed.
  • A rigorous, evidence-driven thinker who holds the line on quality and is as comfortable flagging model limitations as championing model strengths.
  • Familiarity with AI product development and evaluation methodologies — including scoring frameworks, and statistical approaches to measuring performance.
  • Comfortable operating across technical and commercial conversations, adapting fluency without losing substance.
  • Strong commercial instinct, able to translate eval outcomes into a value proposition a client or internal audience will trust.
  • A clear communicator who builds credibility across functions through substance, not just style.
  • Organised and structured, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain rigour under pressure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
