Sr. Tech Business Developer

The Sr. Tech Business Developer will be a leader within the Global Fleet & Products (GFP) team, responsible for identifying and capturing business development opportunities outside of NA, and, where appropriate, helping extend successful Rest of World (RoW) partnerships back into NA. This role will partner directly with GFP RoW regional leadership to uncover where GFP's scale, buying power, and established technology partnerships can be extended into new markets and geographies. This role will work across GFP's entire portfolio, from on-road trucks and middle mile fleet to last mile delivery vehicles, micromobility, electrification, autonomy, and emerging transport platforms.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with RoW regional leadership to identify fleet and delivery technology opportunities that can leverage GFP's global scale, existing partnerships, and volume economics.
  • Work across GFP's full portfolio (trucks, vans, last-mile vehicles, micromobility, connected vehicle, autonomy, and emerging platforms) to match the right solutions to regional and cross-regional needs.
  • Lead end-to-end deal origination, structuring, negotiation, and execution for global partnerships, adapting existing GFP deal frameworks for local market conditions, if necessary.
  • Identify where RoW-originated partnerships, technologies, or vendor relationships present opportunities to extend into NA, facilitating cross-regional deal expansion in collaboration with the NA BDT team.
  • Serve as the primary BD point of contact for non-NA partner engagement, building relationships with OEMs, tier-1 suppliers, technology companies, and start-ups across international markets.
  • Interface with C-Suite and VP-level executives externally, and earn trust with senior Amazon leadership internally (finance, legal, corporate development, public policy, regional operations, engineering).
  • Develop business cases, financial models, and strategic narratives that quantify the value of extending GFP's scale into new markets, influencing VP+ level investment decisions.
  • Bring regional market intelligence back to the central GFP product and strategy teams to inform roadmaps, sourcing decisions, and partnership priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
