SUMMARY
The Sr. Technical Sales Representative is responsible for managing customer relationships and commercial activities relating to turbine engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for commercial and regional aviation customers. Acting as the primary commercial point of contact, the role supports airlines, leasing companies, OEMs, and aviation operators with repair solutions, AOG support, quotation management, and aftermarket service coordination.
The position focuses on delivering responsive customer support, developing commercially competitive repair solutions, and driving business growth across engine repair, component support, exchange programs, and aviation aftermarket services. Working closely with internal engineering, operations, logistics, and supply chain teams, the role ensures efficient communication, service coordination, and customer satisfaction throughout the repair and support lifecycle.
The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, supporting revenue growth initiatives, and promoting VSE Aviation Services Ireland’s integrated aviation support capabilities across EMEA and global markets.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and respond to customer enquiries relating to turbine engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, AOG support, engine hospital visits, component repair solutions, and technical service requests for commercial and regional aircraft operators.
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for customers, delivering high levels of responsiveness, communication, and customer support throughout the repair and service lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with airlines, leasing companies, OEMs, MRO providers, and aviation operators across EMEA and global markets to support long-term business growth.
- Review customer operational and commercial requirements and coordinate internally with engineering, operations, supply chain, and approved vendor partners to develop competitive and commercially viable repair solutions.
- Prepare, issue, negotiate, and manage quotations for engine and accessory repair services, including work scope support, exchange solutions, material availability, pricing, and turnaround time commitments.
- Coordinate customer commercial activities throughout the repair process, ensuring customers receive accurate updates regarding repair status, material support, shop findings, estimated completion dates, and return-to-service schedules.
- Support and coordinate customer requirements for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events, including rapid-response AOG situations and on-wing support requirements.
- Identify and develop opportunities to expand repair scope, component support, exchange programs, inventory solutions, and long-term service agreements within existing and prospective customer accounts.
- Proactively generate and pursue new business opportunities across commercial aviation, cargo, and aircraft leasing sectors to support revenue growth and market expansion initiatives.
- Support sales and business development activities including customer visits, account development, proposal support, contract discussions, and commercial follow-up activities.
- Work collaboratively with internal commercial, logistics, operations, and supply chain teams to support efficient service execution, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery performance.
- Support management with forecasting, KPI tracking, customer account reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain awareness of market activity, customer operational priorities, and engine platform support capabilities including CFM56, CF6, CF34, V2500, LEAP, GTF, PW4000 series engines, and APUs.
- Promote VSE Aviation Services Ireland’s integrated aviation support capabilities including engine repair management, component support solutions, supply chain services, and lifecycle cost management programs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer experience, commercial responsiveness, service delivery, and business process efficiency.
- Represent the company professionally within the global aviation marketplace, maintaining high standards of customer engagement and commercial integrity.
- Perform additional duties as required to support departmental objectives, customer requirements, and wider business growth initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s Degree, related field of study, OR an additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of relevant/technical work experience
- Technical knowledge in Aerospace with the ability to read prints, CMMs, Service Bulletins and publications
- Excellent time management skills with ability to organize and manage multiple and competing priorities
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision in fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook and Excel
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Fluent in English
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree
- 8+ years of specific work experience
- Experience in Engine MRO
- Proficiency in Quantum Component Control
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI
