SSD & Endoscopy Decontamination Manager
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing private healthcare group on an exciting opportunity for an experienced SSD & Endoscopy Decontamination Manager to lead and develop sterile services and endoscopy decontamination operations across the organisation.
This is a senior, group-wide role with responsibility for operational performance, regulatory compliance, quality, workforce development and future service expansion.
As the SSD & Endoscopy Decontamination Manager, you will:
- Lead SSD and Endoscopy Decontamination teams across multiple sites
- Manage capacity, workload planning, staffing and service performance
- Ensuring compliance with RQIA, HIQA, MDR, IPC and relevant decontamination standards
- Overseeing endoscope reprocessing, AERs, traceability, storage and microbiological surveillance
- Maintaining and improving Quality Management Systems, audits, CAPA and non-conformance processes
- Leading equipment validation, maintenance and lifecycle planning
- Supporting new hospital developments, theatre expansion and additional decontamination capacity
- Managing budgets, suppliers, service contracts and capital investment
- Driving standardisation, Lean improvement and digital tracking initiatives
- Acting as the Group subject matter expert for decontamination governance

The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience managing SSD/CSSD services
- Strong experience within Endoscopy Decontamination
- Excellent knowledge of decontamination standards, quality systems and regulatory compliance
- Experience leading teams and driving service improvement
- Exposure to capital projects, equipment commissioning or service expansion
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
- Relevant professional qualification in Sterile Services/Decontamination
