Grade 5 Spinal point 7 (£26,403 pro rata)

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the South Staffordshire Learning Partnership as a Finance Support Officer.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our busy and supportive finance team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our schools by supporting the effective management of financial resources and ensuring funds are used with integrity, efficiency and purpose.
As a Finance Support Officer, you will:
- Build strong working relationships with staff, suppliers, parents and other stakeholders.
- Support the effective use of resources across our schools.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance systems and processes.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
- Support month-end financial processes and maintain data accuracy across systems.

Procurement and Supplier Management
- Process purchase orders, invoices and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with suppliers and staff to resolve queries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate supplier records and support fraud prevention controls.
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and value-for-money principles.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Maintain organised and auditable financial records in line with financial regulations and audit requirements.
- Support income generation and collection activities across our schools.
- Manage school fund accounts and associated reconciliations.
- Oversee the collection of debts and fees using approved finance platforms.
- Work closely with the Office and Finance Manager to provide financial information that supports budget planning and monitoring.
- Assist with financial reporting and administrative tasks as required.
- Support the delivery of high-quality financial services across the partnership.
