The Role
We're looking for an experienced SSRS Developer to join a Data Engineering team on a contract basis, supporting a busy reporting environment while contributing to a wider data platform migration.
This is a hands-on role where you'll spend most of your time enhancing, maintaining, and troubleshooting existing SSRS reports, working closely with business stakeholders to deliver accurate, reliable reporting that supports day-to-day decision making. Alongside this, you'll play a key role in the migration of reporting workloads from SQL Server to Amazon Redshift.
The Opportunity
The organisation is modernising its data platform and reporting landscape, creating an opportunity for someone who enjoys both business-facing report development and the more technical challenges of data migration and optimisation.
You'll work with stakeholders across the business, helping translate reporting requirements into well-designed solutions while ensuring reports remain performant, accurate, and fit for purpose.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
