Job Description
The successful candidate will have completed foundation training or equivalent and be fully registered with the GMC. They will work a 1:12 pattern in a rolling rota, supported by registrar and consultant grade doctors at all times during their work. This tier of the rota works alongside other FY2, ST1/2 and GP training ST1.
We have a wide range of services and are able to offer experience across the range of obstetrics and gynaecology including high risk pregnancy, maternal medicine, acute gynaecology, early pregnancy, urogynaecology, gynaecological oncology, endometriosis and robotic surgery. The day to day work will be in areas of maternity assessment unit, labour ward, postnatal, gynaecology emergency, theatres and early pregnancy assessment. There is opportunity to attend antenatal and gynaecology clinics (including ambulatory and colposcopy sessions).

We are also a University hospital linked to the University of Portsmouth, with active involvement in multicentre research trials supported by a dedicated research midwife and gynaecology research nurse. We anticipate the successful candidate joining us as soon as possible for a fixed term post of 6 months.
Qualifications
Qualifications - Essential
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
- Qualifications that demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English language
Clinical Experience - Essential
- At least one year post graduation medical experience.

- Demonstrate evidence of being able to Manage/prioritise time
- Manage information effectively
