Stability Storage Technician
We’re looking for a Stability Storage Technician to join our growing team at Astoriom.
This is a busy, fast-paced and hands-on role and we want to be upfront about that. You won’t spend your whole day sitting at a desk – you’ll be receiving and checking customer samples, moving products into and out of our temperature-controlled storage areas, preparing samples for dispatch and making sure everything is accurately recorded and fully traceable.
There is a physical element to the role, including regular manual handling and working within controlled-temperature environments, so you’ll need to be comfortable with being on your feet and working practically as part of your day.
At the same time, accuracy really matters. We operate within a highly regulated environment, so alongside the physical work there is documentation, system work and following defined processes and SOPs. You’ll help us ensure that customer products are stored and handled correctly and that we can account for their movement throughout their time with us.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You don’t need to come to us knowing everything. While previous experience in a laboratory, stability storage, warehousing, scientific services or another regulated environment would be useful, we’re also really interested in people who are looking for an opportunity to learn and develop.
For us, the right attitude is important. We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working in a busy environment and getting stuck in;
- Is comfortable with a role that combines physical work with administration;
- Has good attention to detail and takes pride in getting things right;
- Is organised and comfortable using computer systems;
- Can follow processes and procedures consistently;
- Works well as part of a team but can also work reliably with minimal supervision; and
- Most importantly, wants to learn, develop and build their experience with us.
