The Role
We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and talented Stadium Announcer to join our dynamic team.
In the role of Stadium Announcer you will be the voice of the football club for our 2026/27 Premier League season. You will lead the in-stadium audio experience on matchdays, working closely with our matchday production partner, and the club's marketing and commercial teams to deliver a professional, energetic and consistent experience for supporters.
Job Description
- Deliver all pre-match, half-time and full-time announcements to an approved running order and script
- Read team line-ups, substitutions, goal announcements and VAR/review communications accurately and on cue
- Deliver partner and commercial messaging exactly as scripted, protecting the club's commercial commitments
- Support safety and stewarding messaging, including emergency and crowd-management announcements
- Prepare thoroughly before each fixture: review scripts in advance, confirm player and visiting-team pronunciations, and join production briefings
- Help create atmosphere, and work with the matchday team on fan moments, presentations and on-pitch activations

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a stadium or live-event announcer, ideally at major-event level
- Confident, engaging, clear delivery under pressure, with the ability to adapt calmly to live changes (VAR delays, incidents, late team news)
- Discipline to work to script and running order, with sound judgement on tone
- Reliability and punctuality, with confirmed availability for all home fixtures (including rearranged and midweek games) and key club events
- A genuine feel for football culture, with knowledge of Coventry City and our supporters

Details
- Freelance, per-match fee (prep time and briefings included)
- Home fixtures at the Coventry Building Society Arena, plus occasional club events
- Start: from October 2026
