Staff Applied Analyst – Global Interactive Media & Entertainment Brand
6-Month Contract | Fully Remote | Inside IR35 | £700pd - £750pd
We’re partnering with one of the world’s most recognised interactive media, entertainment and gaming businesses as they continue to expand their global Data & Analytics capability.
They are looking for an experienced Staff Applied Analyst to join a high-performing global team, taking ownership of complex analytical challenges and helping shape how data is used to support strategic decision-making across the organisation.
This is a senior individual contributor position with significant influence across Analytics, Data Science, Product and wider business teams.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading complex and ambiguous analytical problem spaces across multiple teams and business areas
- Developing hypotheses and using exploratory analysis to identify high-value opportunities
- Building rapid analytical prototypes and exploratory models to assess feasibility and potential impact
- Turning complex datasets and analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
- Partnering with Data Scientists, Product Managers and senior business stakeholders
- Helping move analytical opportunities from initial exploration into experimentation and modelling
- Establishing best practices around exploratory analytics, hypothesis development and rapid prototyping
- Mentoring other analysts and improving analytical capabilities across the wider team

What We’re Looking For
- 12+ years’ experience across Analytics, Data Science or a related field
- Strong experience leading complex analytical projects across multiple teams or domains
- Excellent knowledge of exploratory analysis, hypothesis development and data-driven decision-making
- Advanced experience with SQL, Python, R or similar analytical tools
- Experience using or a strong interest in Generative AI / Agentic AI to improve analytical workflows and accelerate insight generation
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to operate effectively in highly ambiguous environments
