Are you an experienced Café or Catering Manager looking to lead a team that makes a difference every day?
At Bettys & Taylors Group we are seeking a skilled Staff Café Manager to lead our busy on-site Staff Café, known as Pagoda Café.
About the Role
As our Staff Café Manager, you will ensure the effective and smooth running of Pagoda Café. You will lead and motivate the team to work together to deliver an exceptional customer experience and make a positive difference to the daily experience of employees, visitors, and contractors from across Bettys & Taylors Group. Pagoda Café is an inclusive and welcoming space where we use quality ingredients to provide varied and nutritional meals for our People throughout the day.
Working alongside two Team Leaders, this is an opportunity to make a real impact while leading a hardworking team in a business known for quality, care, and exceptional experiences.
This role also includes the overall responsibility for our on-site staff shop, named Carole’s Counter. You will play a role in ensuring our colleagues have convenient access to our products and support a strong sense of community across the business.

Working Pattern
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours over 5 days, from 8:30am each day Monday to Friday.
The staff café team is based on site at our main offices in Starbeck, hybrid working is therefore not available in this role.

About You
- Previous experience as a Café Manager, Catering Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced hospitality or catering environment is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Holds Level 3 Food Safety Qualification.
- Understanding of food safety legislation and health and safety practices.
- Experience managing budgets, stock control, and supplier relationships.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.

Application and Interview Process

There will be a two-stage process for this role, and this will consist of a competency-based interview and a task brief.
Interviews are planned to take place in October.
