About The Venue

Managed by Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, the iconic Royal Albert Hall operation consists of 3 restaurants, 14 bars, 1 retail outlet, 147 hospitality boxes and events for up to 2000 people.

Role Purpose

Join the iconic Royal Albert Hall and become part of a dedicated Back of House team supporting the delivery of exceptional hospitality in one of London’s most prestigious venues. If you're highly organised, have strong food safety knowledge, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the staff canteen, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and compliant food service for employees across the venue.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Setting up and preparing the staff canteen ahead of lunch service, ensuring the area is clean, organised, and fully stocked
  • Liaising with the Operations team to ensure menus and allergen information are accurate, with correct food labels displayed alongside all dishes
  • Supporting the smooth and efficient service of food to staff during lunch periods
  • Monitoring stock levels and ensuring effective stock rotation, including date checking and minimising waste
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation throughout service
  • Ensuring the canteen is replenished and prepared for the following service period

What We're Looking For

  • Good knowledge of food, allergens, and Food Safety Management procedures
  • Previous experience working within a hospitality, catering, or food service environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence working independently while supporting a wider team
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to daily operations

Good to know

  • Pay rate: Up to £16.80 per hour
  • Contract type: Casual contract.
  • Working pattern: Predominantly Monday to Friday, approximately 9:30am to 6:00pm, with occasional weekend working based on operational requirements.

Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and be committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, allergen compliance, and staff service.
