Staff Engineer - AI Platform - Quant Trading
One of London's leading quantitative trading firms is hiring a Staff Engineer / Tech Lead to help define how AI is built and leveraged across the business.
You'll act as the technical lead within a team of 12 AI engineers, partnering directly with Portfolio Managers, Researchers, Technologists, and business stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities for AI and turn them into production systems.
From research agents that help investment teams uncover alpha faster, to AI platforms that enable engineers to build and deploy new capabilities at scale, you'll own products end-to-end while helping shape the firm's long-term AI strategy.

You'll likely have:
- 7+ years in software engineering
- 1+ years building production GenAI / LLM systems
- Experience taking projects from idea to production
- Strong Python
- Kubernetes and cloud-native experience
- Experience owning production APIs and data platforms
- Strong Opinions with a proactive attitude and passion for introducing new ideas
- No finance experience needed
