Staff Engineer / Developer (C#.Net AWS Python) London / WFH

About the Role

As a Staff Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping the technology strategy, architecting and building highly performant, scalable solutions across the Microsoft technology stack. Collaborating closely with cross-functional Agile teams in two week sprints, you'll champion engineering best practice, drive technical standards and ensure high quality software is delivered on schedule.

There's plenty of new development ahead, with a range of new features and initiatives to shape. You'll also play a key role in driving the adoption of AI across the business, exploring opportunities such as chatbots, automation and AI powered process improvements.

This is a high-impact position with excellent visibility across the organisation. Reporting directly to and working closely with the CTO, you'll have a genuine voice in technical direction and the opportunity to see the direct results of your work as the business continues to grow.

Location / WFH

There's a hybrid policy, with two days in the brand new London offices and flexibility to work from home two days a week (Thursdays and Fridays).

About You

  • Experienced Software Engineer / Developer with a strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices
  • Strong C# backend development skills, ideally also Python coding skills
  • Good knowledge of AWS
  • Experience of working on highly scalable systems
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns
  • Experience with, or a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence and are keen to explore the possibilities further e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot
  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills alongside organisation and planning abilities
  • Business acumen and advanced communication / stakeholder management skills
