Role Overview
We are seeking a Field Systems Applications Engineer to act as a key technical partner to aerospace, defense, and autonomy customers across the UK. This is a system-focused role, supporting customers in the design and deployment of advanced RF, microwave, communications, navigation, radar, and electronic warfare solutions. You will work across semiconductor, module, and subsystem technologies, helping customers move from initial architecture through prototype and production.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to defense, aerospace, and autonomy customers.
- Support system architectures across RF/microwave, radar, electronic warfare, software-defined radio, MEMS navigation, power, and data conversion.
- Translate customer requirements into module and subsystem solutions.
- Support customers from concept and prototyping through to production.
- Help accelerate development through reference designs, evaluation platforms, and reusable solutions.
- Connect customers with internal engineering teams across RF, MEMS software, power, and related technologies.
- Provide customer and market insights to help inform future product development.
- Build relationships across the UK defense and autonomy ecosystem and identify emerging opportunities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 7+ years’ experience in Applications Engineering, Field Systems Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
- Broad knowledge of semiconductor technologies, including analog, data converters, power, and RF/microwave.
- Experience in one or more of the following: Radar or electronic warfare, military communications, software-defined radio, MEMS IMUs and navigation, Autonomous systems or drones
- Fluent English.
