Working at Oxa
At Oxa, we're building the future of Industrial Mobile Autonomy (IMA) and are in the market for new talent.
Oxa’s customers are the operators of some of the world's largest industrial facilities. Our technology transforms existing industrial vehicles into intelligent autonomous fleets, unlocking new levels of productivity, safety, and performance.
‘The phone in your hand, the coffee on your desk, the shirt on your back - they all moved through a web of ports (air and sea), distribution yards and manufacturing hubs. This is the invisible circulatory system of global trade, and it relies entirely on a relentless, repetitive shuffle of goods. Towing.
This towing task happens in complex, commerce-critical industrial environments. Here, having self driving technology “do the driving” delivers immediate, measurable impact. IMA will revolutionise the movement of goods across the world's ports, airports, and yards.
You can be part of that as an Oxbot’
‘Paul Newman - Founder and CEO’
Our products are built on four core technology pillars which come together to build a complete system:
- Oxa Ware – Our modular autonomy hardware systems for consistent and repeatable integration of autonomy with existing vehicles.
- Oxa Driver – Our Physical AI, embodied in Oxa Ware, self-driving software that enables vehicles to perceive, reason, and drive autonomously in complex real-world environments.
- Oxa Foundry – Our development toolchain that leverages generative AI to continuously train and assure Oxa Driver, synthesising situations and sensor data.
- Oxa Hub – Our suite of cloud services for monitoring, managing and orchestrating fleets driven by Oxa Driver, including an API for integration with existing logistics systems.
Behind these technologies is our exceptional team, the Oxbots. We are home to some of the world's leading experts in autonomous systems, robotics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and distributed software engineering. Together, we're solving some of the hardest technical challenges in autonomy, turning the research and development we do into production and deploying it into environments. Making robots do useful work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your Role
You will be joining the Remote Operations team. This team builds Oxa Hub, the core cloud component of our products, as well as many internal diagnostic and operational tools.
We are building a fleet management system that sits on the bleeding edge of what autonomous vehicles can do in industrial and logistical settings.
We own the full lifecycle of these products: designing intuitive user experiences, building robust and scalable services behind them, and continuously evolving the platform so that a growing fleet, and a growing customer base has a growing product surface and control plane to operate fleets of AVs.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical leadership and mentorship across the web engineering team
- Designing, building, and shipping full stack web applications using Node, TypeScript, and React
- Architecting scalable front-end and back-end systems that hold up as our platform and fleet grow
- Owning features end to end, from product discovery and design through to deployment and iteration
- Implementing feedback and iteration loops informed by real user and operational needs
- Tackling problems with multiple risks and roadblocks using simple solutions, and developing an understanding of these problems that lets you explain them to others in simple, concise terms
- Identifying functionality gaps and contributing to the development of fixes
- Influencing team strategy, goals, and driving adoption of engineering best practices on your team
- Understanding the business impact of your systems and showing good judgement when making technical trade-offs between your team's short and long-term needs
What You Need to Succeed
- Undergraduate level qualification such as a BEng/MEng/MSc, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrable experience taking full stack web applications from initial concept through to successful production launch
- Strong software engineering skills with deep expertise in common web languages and frameworks especially TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
- Experience designing and building ergonomic APIs and robust, scalable back-end services
- Confident and comfortable communication with anyone! This includes the capacity to translate intricate, multi-faceted technical considerations into precise, strategic guidance suitable for both leadership and technical peers
- A track record of mentoring engineers and raising the engineering bar around you
- Comfortable prototyping and developing applications using agentic tools such as Claude Code or Gemini
