Employment

Permanent

We're supporting a major UK financial services organisation as they scale their AI engineering capability and accelerate the adoption of Generative AI and Agentic AI across the business.

We're looking for an exceptional Staff Machine Learning Engineer who combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with the technical leadership to shape how AI is developed, deployed and adopted across multiple engineering teams.

This is a high-impact opportunity to help drive the organisation's UK AI agenda, leveraging established capabilities from its US operations while developing new solutions, engineering frameworks and use cases.

Crucially, this is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a purely strategic or management position.

The Opportunity

You'll play a central role in building and scaling enterprise AI capabilities, moving beyond conventional RAG and LLM applications towards increasingly sophisticated, high-complexity AI systems.

Working across multiple engineering teams, you'll help establish reusable AI engineering capabilities, accelerate delivery and drive the adoption of modern AI development practices within a highly regulated environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
