Role: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Priory Hospital Solihull has an opportunity for a Staff Nurse RMN with an active NMC Registration to join our team on our Rehabilitation and Recovery ward. Working a mixture of Days/nights/weekdays and bank holidays.

Priory Hospital Solihull, Meriden, Warwickshire is a 31-bedded level 2 rehabilitation service for males supporting the NHS. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus services and nearby train stations providing links into Coventry and Birmingham. The hospital is also well connected by road, with the M6 and M42 approximately 10 minutes away and wider access to the M40 and M1 motorways.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to supporting people's wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Delivering safe, person-centred nursing care to a defined group of patients.
    • Working collaboratively with patients, families, carers, and the multidisciplinary team.
    • Assessing, planning, delivering, and reviewing care.
    • Monitoring patients’ conditions and responding appropriately to changes in their needs.
    • Maintaining accurate care plans and promoting patient choice.
    • Prioritising and delegating nursing duties.
    • Acting as nurse in charge when required.
    • Managing medicines safely.
    • Addressing concerns and complaints.
    • Maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
    • Supporting newly qualified staff through preceptorship.
    • Participating in clinical supervision, reflective practice, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
    • Adhering to safeguarding requirements, the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, NMC Code, and organisational policies and procedures.

What you'll bring to the role

Essential for the role:

  • Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6-12 months post registration experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship programme.
  • Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests, and professional practices.
