An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate registered nurse to join the team at the Marjory Warren Unit, Stepping Hill Hospital. The unit provides a range of specialist outpatients and day hospital services for older adults and general medicine patients including comprehensive geriatric assessments, falls assessments, stroke and TIA follow-ups, rheumatology services, infusion therapies, and vascular clinics.
As a staff nurse, you will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care, ensuring safe and effective clinical practice while promoting independence and positive patient outcomes. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be committed to delivering compassionate care, and demonstrate a willingness to develop their clinical knowledge and skills within a diverse and evolving service.
Duties
The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team within the unit providing high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to patients attending outpatient and day hospital services. Main duties will include:

- Providing direct clinical care and ongoing assessment of patients attending the service.
- Administering medications, intravenous therapies in accordance with trust policies and standards.
- Monitoring patients' condition, recognising and responding appropriately to any deterioration.
- Supporting consultant-led clinics and other specialist services that run on the unit.
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
- Promoting patient safety, safeguarding, and clinical governance standards.
- Participating in service developments, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development activities.
