Experienced Band 5 Nurse
We are looking for an experienced Band 5 nurse to join our team at Mull and Iona Community Hospital.
This is a permanent 25-hour post.
Role Requirements:
- The post holder must have general ward experience.
- Relevant experience in working within the A&E department in a rural setting is desirable.
About the Hospital:
- Serves the community of the Isle of Mull and Iona.
- Features 3 GP Acute inpatient beds.
- Provides end of life care.
- Includes a community casualty department for all emergencies as well as minor injuries.
- Acts as the centre for out-of-hours care referred through NHS24.

Key Responsibilities:
- Must be competent in triage and assessment.
- Works as part of a small team of nurses and Health Care Assistants.
- As Nurse on duty, will be working as a lone worker in charge of the clinical shift, supported by a HCSW and the GP on duty.
Essential Requirements:
- Due to the rural location and limited public transport, a UK driving license would be essential.
