Staff Nurse - General Surgery

Location

London: The London Bridge Hospital

Employment Details

  • Full Time: 37.5 hours per week
  • Shift Times: Monday – Sunday (flexibility required to work long days, nights, and weekends)
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Salary: Competitive (DOE) plus 9% shift allowance

About the Role

We’re looking for a Staff Nurse to join the General Surgery Inpatients Ward at The London Bridge Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.

As the Staff Nurse, working within our surgical unit, you will plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care for Colorectal, Hepatobiliary, Liver and renal transplants, Maxillofacials, Breast surgery patients alongside other general surgery specialties. You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, contributing to safe, effective, and patient-centred care throughout the patient journey.

About The London Bridge Hospital

The London Bridge Hospital campus in South East London encompasses:

  • An outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard
  • The large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site
  • Private Care at Guys, which is on the top four floors of Guys Hospital Cancer Centre
  • Outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City, Canary Wharf and Kent

With 160 beds, 22 ICU beds, and 10 operating theatres, we offer our patients exceptional treatment across a multitude of acute and complex care and have use of the latest technologies and healthcare innovations.

Requirements

  • NMC Registered Nurse with a valid UK PIN.
  • Experience working within a surgical or acute care setting.
  • Strong clinical and patient-focused approach to care delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
