We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time, fixed-term Registered Nurses to come and join our Cardiac team.

The Cardiac Centre comprises of a CCU (Cardiac Care Unit), Cardiac Ward and Catheterisation Lab, (where diagnostic angiograms are performed and pacemakers inserted) and a Recovery area.

The ward has 22 beds with 7 of these having bedside monitors. The Cardiac ward is also responsible for providing and monitoring patients on Telemetry across the Trust.

The Band 5 posts will provide an opportunity for the successful candidates to rotate through the various areas enabling them to develop a range of skills and experiences.

Although previous cardiology or scrub nurse experience would be an advantage, we welcome applicants from those with an interest in cardiology who are willing to develop and take on new skills.

We are looking for a passionate staff nurse to join our team.

The cardiac ward looks after patients with a variety of different cardiac conditions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
