Are you a caring, motivated and professional Registered Nurse looking to take the next step in your community nursing career? NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join our Community Nursing Team within Inverclyde. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, person-centred care to patients in their own homes and community settings, helping people maintain their independence and achieve the best possible health outcomes. Working within NHSGGC, Scotland's largest health board, you will be supported to develop your skills, expand your knowledge and be part of a team that is committed to delivering outstanding care across our communities. This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a or a NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS).
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
Greenock Health Centre
Five out of seven days a week, 08:00 to 18:00 including weekends and public holidays
Fixed-term for 12 months
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised programmes of care for patients within the community setting
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams to ensure seamless patient care from admission through to discharge
- Manage and prioritise a diverse caseload, providing effective clinical decision-making and problem solving
- Promote health and wellbeing through education, support and preventative healthcare interventions
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure all documentation meets professional and organisational standards
- Support and mentor students, newly qualified staff and support workers to encourage learning and development
- Participate in audit, quality improvement and clinical governance activities to enhance patient care and service delivery

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Registered Nurse Adult with current NMC Registration Level 1
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive professional relationships
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively and work independently
- Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to lifelong learning
- Effective decision-making, clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
- Good clinical knowledge with an understanding of person-centred community nursing care
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to meet the demands of community-based working
