Job Opportunity at Wirral University Teaching Hospital

Critical Care at Wirral University Teaching Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses who are looking for the chance to deliver a truly holistic caring experience for their patients.

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic Nurses to join our dedicated and friendly team, dedicated to the highest standards of individualized nursing care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Care for 18 critically ill patients from all medical and surgical specialties.
  • Work with the rehabilitation, follow-up, and outreach teams once skills are developed.
  • Act as a Critical Care nurse following completion and assessment of critical care training.
  • Act as a preceptor and supervisor to junior colleagues and unqualified support staff.
  • Carry out specialized nursing duties following completion of supplemented training.
  • Participate in the rotation of all areas of critical care as service needs require.
  • Act as a specialist core team member working a high proportion of shifts out of hours.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year Acute Ward experience.
  • Critical Care Experience is mandatory as we are unable to recruit newly qualified staff.

Contract and Hours

  • Fixed term contract for 1 year.
  • Full-time and part-time hours available.
