Ward M1

Ward M1 is a medical ward for the elderly with a bed capacity of 30 and 10 escalation beds. We are looking for a staff nurse who is passionate, conscientious, and motivated to make a difference.

Role Overview

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse on M1, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate, person-centred care to older adults with complex medical, frailty, and dementia-related needs.

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration.
  • Administer medicines safely.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
  • Contribute to discharge planning from admission.
  • Support rehabilitation and deconditioning initiatives.
  • Promote patient independence.
  • Ensure care is delivered in line with Trust policies, professional standards, and evidence-based practice.
