Staff Nurse (Band 5) - Outpatient Department

We are looking to recruit a band 5 Staff Nurse who wants to work in a dynamic and friendly Outpatient Department to deliver a modern-day outpatients service.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and flexible nurse to join our Outpatient team, where you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, clinic management, and work autonomously in our nurse led dressing clinics. Out patients at Northumbria provides staff the opportunity to use IT and technology to support patient pathways in new and innovative ways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Location and Travel: The post holder will be based at North Tyneside with the expectation to travel trustwide if required for our seven-day service. You will also be required to support and manage trauma and orthopaedics clinics based Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (NSECH).

  • Support and Development: We will provide a supportive learning environment and encourage you with your personal and professional development.

Duties

  • To assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care working as a member of the Department team under the direction of the Department Manager.
  • To be responsible for the organising and co-ordination of nursing services in the dept in the absence of senior staff on a regular basis.
  • To be responsible for all nursing care standards and to maintain high clinical standards.
