Staff Nurse - Inpatient Ward
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 38 Hours per Week
Shifts: 12 Hour Shifts | Days, Nights & Weekends
A leading private surgical hospital in Glasgow is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join its busy inpatient ward team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern hospital environment, caring for patients across a range of surgical specialities and supporting them throughout their inpatient journey.
The Role
As a Staff Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals undergoing treatment across mixed surgical specialities. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering safe and effective clinical care while maintaining exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of nursing care to inpatient surgical patients.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
- Monitor patient recovery and respond effectively to changing clinical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments in line with hospital policies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, allied health professionals and wider clinical teams.
- Promote a safe and positive environment for patients, families and colleagues.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
- Previous experience within an inpatient, surgical or acute care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A patient-focused approach with a commitment to delivering outstanding care.
- Flexible to work a rota including days, nights and weekends.
