About the Role
The successful applicant will assist with patient admission for their procedure. Helping and moving around the International Radiology Suite, learning conscious sedation techniques and obtaining ILS training, gaining knowledge and expertise in pain management, and recovering patients from general anaesthesia.

Department Overview
The International Radiology departments cover our round-the-clock on-call service, including on weekends and bank holidays, and operate a fully staffed weekday service with different shift patterns across three sites. The successful candidate will support and teach students as well.
The nursing team is seeking a highly driven and enthusiastic nurse to join the Department of International Radiology at GSTT. In an acute Trust situation, the successful applicant will have a significant role in the treatment and management of both inpatients and outpatients in need of intervention operations. In order to support the service's ongoing development and provide a high standard of care and a satisfying patient experience while being sensitive to the needs of other clinical directorates within GSTT, the individual will collaborate closely with the Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse, Sister/Charge Nurse, and Matron.

Additionally, you will assist with cardiac Catheterisation, intervention radiology, and the treatment of paediatric patients at Evelina Children's Hospital.
Candidate Profile
In addition to being a registered nurse, the candidate must have a strong commitment to their own personal growth and a deep interest in the direction that intervention radiology and the profession are taking.
