We have a Band 5 registered nurse vacancy in our 'Rated Outstanding by CQC' Assessment and Treatment unit for adults with learning disabilities, Eastway in Chester.
Full Preceptorship
Full preceptorship will be given to those who are newly qualified.
Role Responsibilities
You will be working to work with adults with a learning disability as part of an enthusiastic and committed multidisciplinary team, taking referrals from both the local area but also specialist referrals from across the Northwest as part of the inpatient offer. Admissions are short term for people with learning disability and complex needs requiring a period of intensive assessment, treatment and or therapy within an inpatient unit.
As a key member of our Assessment and Treatment Unit, you will develop person-centred plans and work closely with other members of the team to help individuals reach their potential.
The post holder will be expected to work within a multi-professional framework, being named nurse for adult service users with learning disabilities and complex needs. The post holder will work within a hierarchical structure, under the supervision of the Manager/Deputy Manager.
Duties
As a Staff Nurse you will be required to take charge of the shift and offer management supervision sessions to the Clinical Support Workers who are assigned to you.

Start Date
All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction / initial training requirements of the role.
