About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, polite, confident, resilient and organised individual to join the Medical Outpatient in the role of Staff Nurse. You will be expected to have good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with the numerous patients that visit outpatients on a daily basis.
Whilst putting the patient first, the successful candidate will undertake a range of clinical duties as delegated by the OPD Sister or Staff Nurse in Charge and also take on the Nurse in Charge role.

- Record any care or intervention you provide as delegated by the OPD Sister/ Nurse in Charge.
- Work at pace, following advice and instruction outlined by medical and/or senior nursing staff.
- Work alone or as part of a team within your NMC Code of Practice.
- Support outpatients, with a focus on working in clinics to support patients during their outpatient journey.
- Duties include welcoming patients to clinic and explaining who they will see; performing any baseline observations requested by the clinician; being a chaperone and good listener; ensuring that the clinic starts and finishes on time.
- Be competent with using information technology, working with electronic patient records.

Requirements
- Previous experience in an acute hospital setting/ outpatient is an advantage.
- Work across the sites of Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
