The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Medical Day Bed Unit. The successful candidate will be a compassionate, patient-centred registered nurse committed to delivering safe, effective, and high-quality care within a busy day care environment. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will care for patients undergoing a range of medical investigations, treatments, and procedures while contributing to service improvement and upholding NHS Scotland values.
All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
- Permanent
- Role one: Full-time, 36 hours per week
- Role two: Part-time, 22 hours per week
- Shift pattern: Monday - Friday
- Base location: Inverclyde Royal Hospital
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.
- Provide care for patients undergoing medical investigations, treatments, and procedures.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Support and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
- Deliver the highest standards of person-centred care in line with NHS Scotland values.
- Maintain a compassionate and patient-focused approach in all aspects of care.

Knowledge, Training, Qualifications and/or Experience Required to Do the Job
- Registered Nurse qualification (NMC).
- Commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence.
- Interest in developing knowledge and skills within an acute medicine environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Understanding of NHS Scotland values and person-centred care principles.
