We are recruiting Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our teams at Arnold Lodge Hospital
Arnold Lodge Hospital is a regional medium secure hospital and part of the forensic care group which includes other Low, medium and high secure services. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of person-centred care.
We are seeking to recruit B5 RMNs to join our fantastic and well established multi-disciplinary teams. As a staff nurse you will be allocated to a ward and work as part of a skilled team of nurses and Healthcare assistants providing safe and effective care to our patients. You will have named nurse responsibility and oversee the care of a small number of patients allocated to you. You will lead and coordinate the shift and be able to prioritise and delegate responsibilities as necessary. We are looking for staff nurses who are compassionate but who have a firm and fair approach. Working in forensic services can be challenging and you will need to be hardworking and resilient.

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse you will be required to complete Named Nurse duties for a group of patients and implement the nursing process to provide a high standard of individualised patient care to assist patients on their recovery journey in a medium secure setting.
You will be expected to take charge of shifts on a regular basis and oversee the care of all patients and the performance of team members.
You must be able to work a 7-day week, 24-hour shift pattern, including regular night shifts. You must be an RMN registered with the NMC. Our current shift patterns are 12.5 hour shifts.
You will be required to complete mandatory training to assist your professional development.

About Arnold Lodge
Arnold Lodge is a medium secure forensic hospital with capacity for 102 beds over 7 wards, there are three distinctive care streams:
- Male Mental Illness Service: admission, assessment, continuing care and rehabilitation.
- Male Personality Disorder Services: a treatment programme for patients from prison and high secure services.
- Women's Services: blended Medium to low security.
Arnold Lodge is part of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust; however, it operates as a stand-alone hospital based in Leicester. Geographically, the hospital is approximately 45 minutes from the nearest Trust site, meaning that we must be largely self-sufficient in meeting the day-to-day needs of both patients and staff. As a result, it is important that the hospital maintains a high standard of facilities and services to support effective patient care and staff wellbeing.
