Job Opportunity at Royal Surrey Cancer Centre
About the Role
Royal Surrey Cancer Centre is based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford and provides care for cancer patients from the Surrey and Sussex area.
We are currently recruiting for an upcoming vacancy on our inpatient haematology and oncology ward. If you are looking for a career in an acute and diverse area, come and join our team. Onslow ward cares for both oncology and haematology patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy, symptom management, and palliative care.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Level 1 registration with the NMC
- Experience at Band 5 level in an acute setting, preferably within the NHS
- A cancer or haematology nursing qualification is desirable, but we can offer and encourage our staff to undertake further study.
Responsibilities
- To provide a high standard of individualized patient care reflecting individual competencies and education that involves relatives/carers as appropriate.
- To be responsible for the nursing care of a defined group of patients.
- To assist in the management and organization of the nursing service in the clinical area, including the teaching and management of more junior staff or those in training.
