About the Role

As a Bank Staff Nurse in Outpatients at our Plymouth Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body. You bring the qualifications and experience that are relevant to your registration, including NMC. You’re also motivated to understand each case from a technical and personal viewpoint. And you hold post-registration experience.

Key Responsibilities

As an Outpatients Bank Staff Nurse, you will:

  • Show your passion for delivering excellent patient care
  • Manage a varied and interesting caseload in Outpatients services assisting our consultants in our 12 consulting rooms.
  • Take part in a wide range of procedures and apply your clinical skills to in our follow up treatment rooms or minor ops theatre.
  • Instinctively meet the needs of patients and their families, offering comfort and reassurance
  • Work with practitioners in other areas to ensure continuity in patient care
  • Enjoy more time to care and get to know your patients

About Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital

The Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is situated next to the Nuffield Health Devonshire Gym, in Derriford, Plymouth and we have been part of the Plymouth community since 1971. We have 3 main theatres – 2 laminar flow and 1 digital, a fully JAG accredited endoscopy suite, a 35-bedded ward with one 4 bedded bay and one 2 bedded bay. Our outpatients department has 12 consulting rooms with a dedicated ophthalmology suite and ENT service.

We carry out treatment under a range of specialties including Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery. We recently were rated in the top 50 hospitals in the country for our total hip replacement patient outcomes.
