Acute Respiratory Unit - Staff Nurse Vacancy

The Acute Respiratory Unit on Wards 11a/b is seeking a dynamic and motivated, experienced Staff Nurse to join the team.

Role Overview

This vacancy is open to candidates who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse, have proven post registration experience as well as knowledge of working within respiratory.

About the Ward

ARCU is a 40-bedded mixed-sex ward caring for Respiratory, ENT, and General Medical patients, delivering higher level care such as Non-Invasive Ventilation, Tracheostomy, and laryngectomy care. Hi-flow oxygen and patients with chest drains. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse looking for a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate care to a group of patients.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and service users.
  • Administration of medications in line with NMC guidance.
  • Undertaken clinical skills such as physiological observations, ECG, Venepuncture, Cannulation, urinary catheterisation, capillary blood gas monitoring.
