Band 5 Nurse in Trauma & Orthopaedics Outpatients Department
Role Overview
To work autonomously in the daily dressings clinic, caring for patients with traumatic and chronic orthopaedic wounds. To assess, treat, and manage wounds. To report to senior nurses within the department.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside clinic staff, supporting the consultant with Orthopaedic consultations, supporting patients through their visit, offering advice and care.
- Skills in wound care and management, escalating to senior members of the team where there is a concern.
- Safeguarding of patients.
- Coordinating clinics.
- Duties will be either in the dressings clinic or coordinating on separate days.
