Staff Nurse - Walk-In Service
Urgent Care Services Fife has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Nurse within the Walk-In Service. Various hours are available, with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Role Overview
As a Staff Nurse within the Walk-In Service, you will deliver safe, effective, and person-centred nursing care to paediatric and adult patients presenting with a variety of minor illnesses. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Undertake initial patient triage using agreed protocols
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Prioritise patients based on clinical need
- Support timely access to appropriate care
- Escalate concerns to senior clinicians as needed

- Maintain professional standards
- Support a positive patient experience
- Work collaboratively with senior clinicians and colleagues
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement activities
- Ensure your own continuing professional development
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Relevant post-registration experience
- Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills
- Experience within urgent care, unscheduled care, emergency care, primary care, or acute settings is advantageous

Working Conditions
- Hours include weekend working
- Travel across Fife will be required, with centres located at Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline, Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy, and St Andrews Community Hospital
