Urgent Care Services Fife - Staff Nurse in Walk-In Service
Urgent Care Services Fife have a new and exciting role of Staff Nurse within the Walk-In Service. There are various hours available (minimum post hours are 30 hours per week).
Role Overview
As a Staff Nurse within the Walk-In Service, you will deliver safe, effective and person-centred nursing care to paediatric and adult patients presenting with a variety of minor illness complaints. Working as part of the multidisciplinary team, you will undertake initial patient triage using agreed protocols, and undertake the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
You will play a key role in prioritising patients based on clinical need, supporting timely access to appropriate care and ensuring patients are directed to the most suitable treatment pathway. Exercising sound clinical judgement within your scope of practice, you will work collaboratively with senior clinicians and the wider healthcare team, escalating concerns appropriately to support safe patient flow and effective service delivery.

Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Relevant post-registration experience.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a busy and evolving clinical environment.
- Experience within urgent care, unscheduled care, emergency care, primary care, or acute settings would be advantageous.

Working Conditions
- Hours will include weekend working.
- Travel across Fife will be required, with centres located at Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline, Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy, and St Andrews Community Hospital.
